Culture and history

The chapel of Trnávka was built between 1848 and 1850 in the late-classical style. In 1902, it was extended and enlarged by the addition of a tower. These works were commissioned by Antal Németh and his wife Julianna, née Tóth.

In the cemetery of Trnávka, Antal Németh and his wife Karolina Csémy had a large cross erected in 1936. The chapel in the cemetery was consecrated on November 2, 1937. Both structures are therefore dated religious points of reference in the locality, with the cross and chapel each associated with its own year.

Next to the church in Trnávka, a heroes' statue was erected in 1921 in memory of the victims of the First World War. In the 1960s, a list of those who fell in the Second World War was added to this statue. The statue of the Holy Trinity was erected in 1863 at the intersection of Báč, Rohovce and Trnávka. It depicts Saint Emeric, Saint Florian and the Holy Trinity.

Cycling

Trnávka is also integrated into the cycling network through clearly named connections. Main Route XI from Dobrohošť to Blahová passes through Trnávka. It is flat and suitable for all types of bicycles. Another connection is Main Route XII from Holice to Oľdza, which also passes through Trnávka. Thus, two routes with different starting points and destinations meet in the locality.

Traditions

The church festival of Trnávka, held in honour of Our Lady of the Rosary, is celebrated on October 7. Hody takes place in the village on this day. The festival date combines the religious dedication with the term Hody used in the village and complements the permanently visible buildings and monuments with a specific date in the annual calendar.
