The church building in Orešany was enlarged in 1935–1936 by adding a transept at right angles, thereby giving it a new orientation approximately along a north–south axis.

A more recent find is also part of the local history: In May 1986, a coin hoard containing 127 coins from the years 1607 to 1650 was found in Orešany in the Topoľčany District. The coin treasure from Orešany and the related documentation are kept in the repository of the Tribeč Museum in Topoľčany.
