Nature and Trails

The Vama Buzăului–Poiana Dălghiu–Poiana Teslei route is one of the three officially approved hiking trails. The full route name refers to Vama Buzăului, Poiana Dălghiu and Poiana Teslei. The Valea Zimbrilor Reserve was inaugurated in November 2008. In the reserve, visitors can see bison, reindeer, mouflon, red deer, fallow deer, peacocks and geese. The Urlătoarele Waterfalls in the municipality of Vama Buzăului are an attraction for tourists.

This brings together a named hiking trail, an animal reserve and a waterfall within a compact thematic area. The reserve, with its opening in November 2008, and the list of animals—from bison and reindeer to mouflon, red deer, fallow deer, peacocks and geese—give this natural area concrete features.

Culture and History

The sculpture exhibition held in the municipality of Vama Buzăului displays works by local artists. Wood or metal is used for the works. Visiting the Reserve

Admission prices for visiting the Valea Zimbrilor Reserve were 20 lei for children and 30 lei for adults. Advance booking was not required.
