The fortified ensemble of Bunești’s Evangelical Fortified Church comprises a church and a fortified complex. The nave is rectangular, while the altar apse is polygonal. The complex includes four towers, a gate tower, a zwinger and storage chambers. The Evangelical Fortified Church was built as a three-nave basilica in the transitional style from Romanesque to Gothic. It was first mentioned in 1356. Inside, a 1.5-square-metre fragment of a medieval fresco has been preserved. There are also other fragments and decorative elements.

Getting Around
