Oșorhei is home to the Moara Sternberg Lázăr Oșorhei. It is listed as a locally significant architectural monument and is included in the list of historic monuments. The monument’s code is BH-II-m-B-21225. The Moara dates from the beginning of the 20th century.

Culture

The Orthodox Church of “Adormirea Maicii Domnului” in Oșorhei is a historic monument. It was built in 1710. It is considered an option for ecumenical tourism and sightseeing.

Oșorhei therefore has two different historic testimonies with a clear chronological classification: the church dates back to 1710, while the Moara Sternberg Lázăr Oșorhei is attributed to the beginning of the 20th century. Both structures are connected with the town and complement the nature-related destinations with named cultural monuments.

Nature

Poiana Narciselor is located in the municipality of Oşorhei. The area is nationally protected. At the same time, Poiana Narciselor is a botanical nature reserve in IUCN Category IV.

The reserve covers 2 ha. It is located in Alparea Forest. The protected wild daffodil (Narcissus angustifolius) grows in the reserve.

Access to the Poiana Narciselor reserve is via the Oşorhei–Copăcel county road. There is a barrier at the entrance to the reserve.

The Pădurea de la Alparea protected area may only be visited on marked paths. In the ROSCI0145 Pădurea de la Alparea protected area, research, tourism and education are permitted in compliance with the applicable protected-area regulations.

The nature destinations are therefore defined by both their geographical setting and their protection regulations: Poiana Narciselor is located in Alparea Forest and covers 2 ha, while Pădurea de la Alparea restricts visits to marked paths. Access to the reserve is described via Oşorhei–Copăcel; there is a barrier at this entrance.
