Features include a sculpture of Nossa Senhora de Finisterra dating from 1508 and, in the Capela do Sacramento, a 16th-century limestone altarpiece from the workshop of João de Ruão. The walls of this chapel are covered with 17th-century blue-and-white tiles from Fábrica de Coimbra.

You will encounter a different architectural theme at the Igreja da Misericórdia de Soure. The Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Soure was founded in 1520, and construction of the present church began at the start of the 17th century. The building follows the typical model of the Misericórdias of the Mondego region: a rectangular floor plan, a single-nave layout and a painted wooden ceiling with an illusionistic trompe-l’œil perspective. The Edifício dos Paços do Concelho also displays features of Neo-Manueline Romantic Revival architecture and incorporates decorative elements of the Manueline style. Castelo de Soure stands on level ground and adds to the historic points of reference in the area.
