The lake and Konwaliowa Island
Jezioro Lubikowskie lies southwest of Lubikowo. The lake covers 314.7 ha and reaches a depth of up to 36 m. Its sandy bottom and shallows extending up to 150 m from the shore create suitable conditions for windsurfing. The exceptionally firm, sandy lakebed and gently sloping banks are also well suited to relaxing on the beach and swimming.
In the southeastern part of the lake lies Konwaliowa Island, which covers 4.4 ha and is a forest and landscape protection area as well as a nature reserve. It protects a natural stand of old oak trees and the plant community associated with it. The valuable landscape also includes extensive reed beds that provide nesting sites for waterbirds. If you would like to focus on nature as well as the water during an outing, you will find a different experience here from the beach and water sports.
On the island’s shallow northern shore are erratic boulders more than 2 m in diameter. White-tailed eagles also frequently visit Konwaliowa to rest or prepare to hunt. Jezioro Lubikowskie lies within the protected zone of Pszczew Landscape Park, so its waters are subject to special protection.
Hiking trails through Lubikowo
The blue hiking trail passes through Lubikowo on its route between Trzciel, Pszczew, Szarcz, Brzeźno, Gorzycko Stare and Międzychód. The green hiking trail also passes through Lubikowo, running from Jordanowo via Bobowicko, Kuligowo and Stołuń. These places help you find your bearings along the respective routes. Cycling routes of varying lengths
Several cycling routes also pass through Lubikowo. The international E-11 cycle route runs between Międzyrzecz and Międzychód, passing through Stołuń, Folwark Helena, Brzeźno, Wierzbno and Gorzycko Stare. Another option is the green cycle route from Stołuń to Nowe Dłusko, which is listed as 22.5 km long. The black cycle route runs from Kalsko to Krobielewo and is 18.8 km long. This gives you two routes to choose from, with different starting points, destinations and lengths.
