The filial church of St Bartholomew in Buczyna was first mentioned in 1376. In the 16th century, it was given its Renaissance appearance; at that time, a tower, a sacristy and a chancel were added. Its interior includes a high altar, two side altars, a wooden baptismal font and an 18th-century pulpit.

Culture and History
Of the former castle and park complex with manor farm, an entrance gate, an overgrown park and individual farm buildings have been preserved, including a former mill. In the park, an information board describes a traditional legend about the former castle and shows photographs of the castle from its heyday.
The Orthodox Church of St Demetrius was originally a Protestant church. Next to it stand a free-standing bell tower and the remains of a monument to the local residents who fell in the First World War.
Nature
Buczyna Park is home to the protected natural monument “Buczek”, a 200-year-old English oak with a circumference of 5.5 metres. Buczyna lies on the Szprotawa.

Tradition
The “Noc Świętojańska”, held every June for several years, has become a local tradition in Buczyna. During the event, wreaths are set afloat on the Szprotawa; there are also spectacular jumps over a fire.
