Classification

According to regional tourism information, Gryżyna is located approximately 10 km southeast of Kościan. The village is located in the Greater Poland Voivodeship, in Kościan County and in the municipality of Kościan.

The manor house in Gryżyna was built in 1793 for Wiktor Wierusz-Kowalski and is described as a late Baroque building. Near the village, the ruins of a Gothic church from the 13th century associated with Gryżyna are described.

The former estate grounds include a granary from 1854–1855, a brick stable from 1891 and a round ice house from the 19th century. Gryżyna has been documented in writing since 1296.

The estate complex includes a landscape park of approximately one hectare dating from the late 18th century, planted with linden trees and pedunculate oaks. A Gothic church ruin from the 13th century is also recorded in connection with Gryżyna. Gryżyna is located near the Obra River.

Cycling

From Kościan railway station, an approximately 20 km cycling route described as easy runs through Gryżyna to or past the Church of St Barbara.
