The walk to Stormyrhytta starts in Austnes and passes through a pine and spruce forest. This walk involves taking a ferry from Skjeltene to Haramsøya. The marked Mannen trail offers a different route description: it follows a road and a path uphill. Along the way, views open up over Lepsøya, Lepsøybrua and the mountains inland. Its features clearly differ from the forest trail to Stormyrhytta: here, the ascent and the views mentioned are defining features.

At Ulla Fyr, you can fish from the rocks on Kvernholmen. There are plenty of pollack there; mackerel and other fish are also found at times. This specific fishing spot adds an activity by the water to the cultural and hiking options.
