The listed building Kasteel Villa Oeverberg was built between 1870 and 1872 by Baron Frits, the last aristocratic resident of De Keverberg Castle. The post mill Sint Anthoniusmolen was relocated twice: in 1801 within Meijel and in 1878 from Meijel to Kessel. The restored mill contains numerous elements with inscriptions, the oldest of which date from 1800.

Several hikes start at the VVV tourist information office at the foot of De Keverberg Castle. These include the Peel en Maas hiking trail network, the Kessel village walk and the Maas Riverside Route. The Maas Boulevard has a footpath from the Kessel ferry to the marina and offers a panorama with De Keverberg Castle in the background. Near the ferry, Passantenhaven Kessel allows visitors to moor a boat for a day and explore Kessel on foot or by bicycle.
