Poggio a Caiano combines Renaissance culture, churches, parks and events with themes such as art, wine and contemporary music. Its focal point is the Villa Medicea di Poggio a Caiano, designed by Giuliano da Sangallo for Lorenzo il Magnifico. As a Renaissance building, it combines classical principles, particularly those of Vitruvius, with elements of rural Tuscan architecture. Renaissance Art and Notable Buildings

The Sala di Leone X of the Villa Medicea di Poggio a Caiano preserves almost in its entirety one of the most important Tuscan fresco cycles of the 16th century, created by Pontormo, Andrea del Sarto, Franciabigio and Alessandro Allori. The Scuderie are also part of the villa's history: they were built around 1548 to a design by Niccolò Tribolo. Part of their first floor was converted into the Museo Ardengo Soffici in 2009.

Another cultural focal point is Santa Maria del Rosario. It is the most important church in Poggio a Caiano and was built in connection with the strong population growth in the 19th century.
