The Deseda Arboretum was established in 1978 on the peninsula of the artificial Deseda Lake. Its collection covers 28.6 hectares and currently includes 73 species of deciduous trees and shrubs as well as 38 conifer species.

A municipal regulation applies to Lake Deseda and its surroundings for their protection and use as a nature reserve of local significance.
