Grönwohld: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes
Since 1997, Grönwohld has served as a filming location for the NDR television series “Neues aus Büttenwarder”. At the same time, BahnRadWeg Route C passes through the town along the Trittau–Glinde route. Anyone wishing to rent a holiday apartment in Grönwohld can then continue their search for accommodation.
Cycling
BahnRadWeg Route C is signposted locally with direction signs. Information board C-1 is located at the Drahtmühle in Grönwohld. Nearby, Tour 19 follows historic railway lines back to Trittau; these railway lines converge south of Grönwohld. The railway embankments along Tour 19 offer views of meadows and ponds. Grönwohld's Drahtmühle and the Röperkate are sights that are connected with a cycling tour through Stormarn.
Culture
The Dorfkrug is designated as a filming location in the heart of Grönwohld. Thus, alongside the town’s connection with “Neues aus Büttenwarder”, which has existed since 1997, a specific filming location in the town centre is also identified.
History
The Drahtmühle is located at the entrance to Grönwohld. It was built at the beginning of the 17th century for the production of copper sheets and was later used for paper production, until it was listed as a historic monument in 1972. The Drahtmühle is described as Stormarn’s oldest surviving industrial building. It is privately owned and can be viewed from the outside.
Culinary Delights
The Grönwohld brewery offers brewing seminars for individuals and groups. Visitors can register there for brewery tours with or without tastings. Büttenwarder Pils, associated with Grönwohld, continues to be brewed at the Grönwohld brewery. The brewery also fills special types of beer into bottles and kegs.
