Nature
Hahnheide contains mature stands of pine, beech and spruce. The 27-metre-high Langer Otto tower stands on the 99-metre-high Großer Hahnheider Berg. The observation tower offers views across the Stormarn countryside and is freely accessible year-round.

Today, Trittau Watermill houses a cultural centre with events and ongoing exhibitions of contemporary art. The gallery in Trittau Watermill presents contemporary art exhibitions in the watermill and occasionally in the foyer of the adjacent studio building. Grain has no longer been processed at Trittau Watermill since 1963.
Napoleon Bridge, a granite-block bridge, stands near Trittau Mill Pond. The former site of Trittau Castle and Palace, known as “Krim”, is marked in the Bille lowlands by a raised rectangular area of land. At the end of a cycle route, the church square, Trittau Church and a nearby cemetery with mature trees provide places to explore.
Cycling
BahnRadWege Route C begins in northern Trittau and follows the former railway line of the Südstormarn District Railway from Trittau to Glinde. Route C has no direct rail connection. Cycle Tour 19 from Trittau passes through valleys of natural rivers and by watermills and prehistoric burial mounds.
Getting Around
The way to Trittau Watermill is signposted from the town centre. Visitors travelling by car to Route C can find public parking spaces in Trittau.
