St. Catherine's Church in Jörl is a late Gothic brick church with historic furnishings. These include colorful gallery paintings, an oak triumphal group from the late 13th century, a carved pulpit, an altar from 1773, and late Gothic chancel decoration.

Nature
The dune at Rimmelsberg is a 17-hectare FFH area in Schleswig-Holstein, described as being connected by grassland and containing heathland and coppice vegetation. It belongs to the Natura 2000 network and to the Dunes at Rimmelsberg FFH area.
The landscape of the dune at Rimmelsberg includes juniper bushes, sandy heathland, and extensively used grassland. At the center of the site lies a horseshoe-shaped depression. The dune at Rimmelsberg and its historic oak coppice provide refuge for rare plants and animals. The area has been protected since 1938 and is freely accessible at all times.
Hiking
The Jörl Nature Trail is a well-signposted circular route of approximately 10 kilometers. Along the route, 13 information boards provide details about regional history and geology. The route can be shortened between Rupel and Großjörl.
The Paulsgabe gas station is considered the recommended starting point for the Jörl Nature Trail; parking spaces for cars and bicycles are available there. There are no catering facilities along the route.
