Garding: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Garding is centrally located on the Eiderstedt Peninsula. Anyone wishing to rent a holiday apartment in Garding can then continue their search for accommodation. The central location makes it easy to take trips to the beaches of St. Peter-Ording, the historic harbor of Tönning and the Multimar Wattforum in Tönning, to Friedrichstadt, and to the Westerhever Lighthouse. In Garding, St. Christian is described as having a two-aisled hall and a vaulted interior, which are considered unique on Eiderstedt.

Culture

St. Christian Church was built in 1109. It has the oldest organ in northern Germany, built in 1512. The winged altar from 1596 is regarded as a significant work of Mannerism in Schleswig-Holstein. The 43-meter-high tower of St. Christian is the highest point on the Eiderstedt Peninsula. In the past, the tower served as a navigation mark because it was visible far out in the North Sea.

The Kulturhaus hosts art exhibitions, literature groups, readings, a writing workshop, and a children's art workshop. Since 1998, the Gardinger Musikantenbörse has been a recurring concert event for musicians and music enthusiasts. Historical town tours explain Garding's history and show corners that visitors might not find on their own. Two-hour historical town tours are offered for individuals and groups and can be booked on request.
