Taucha: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Culture and History

The local history includes the cultural barn at Taucha Manor Castle. In the 16th century, it was a courthouse and served as a temporary church from 1768 to 1774.

The Lübschütz Ridge Trail branches off from the Parthe Hiking Trail at the Parthe Bridge on Wurzner Straße in Taucha. It is approximately 6.8 kilometres long and crosses open fields with expansive views across the Leipzig region.

Town and Cycling Route

The town park covers 10.5 hectares and is used for walking and recreation. It lies within the Parthenaue–Machern Landscape Conservation Area.

A cycling route through Taucha follows the Parthe from Borsdorf, passes the town park, the observation tower and the town centre, and then leads via Graßdorf and Seegeritz towards Leipzig.

Borna onions from the Borna area were a sought-after market product in Taucha.
