Culture and History

The present-day Gräfenmühle was built in 1725 on the site of the former Angermühle, also known as Ungermühle. The historic Gräfenmühle estate is open to the public as a center for nature conservation, education and culture.

Getting Around

Neukirchen/Pleiße can be reached via VMS bus routes 128, 159, 160 and 171. The regional hiking trail Neukirchen–Dänkritz–Crimmitschau–Thonhausen crosses the municipality from east to west, while a major tourist cycling route runs through Neukirchen/Pleiße in a north–south direction. Rail access is available via Schweinsburg-Culten station on the S5 line.

Leisure and Dining

The Dänkritz leisure facility is suitable for children's birthday parties and other family celebrations. The Castell Palace Restaurant serves seasonal dishes from Saxony. The municipal teaching pool is also available to physiotherapy practices, clubs and private individuals.
