Pegau is situated in the floodplain landscape of the White Elster. At the same time, the town lies amid a newly developed lake district in the southwest of the Leipzig region.
Getting Around
Visitors can explore the old town independently using 19 information boards. On the Neuseenland Route, cyclists can discover the Leipzig region over 100 kilometres starting from Pegau. The Elster Cycle Path runs through Pegau.
The Napoleon House is home to the town library and the tourist information centre. Pegau is served by the regional trains RB13 and RE12. By car, Pegau can be reached by following the B2 to Leipziger Vorstadt.
