The discovery of healing water in 1820 helped Bad Lausick develop into a spa town with bathing houses, pavilions, and two spa buildings. The wellness area of the RIFF leisure pool includes several saunas, a whirlpool, a relaxation house, and massages.
Nature and Trails
Bad Lausick spa park covers 24 hectares. It was laid out in the English style around 1880 and includes the Kneipp Park at Swan Pond, with a wading pool, fitness trail, and fountains, as well as a rose garden.
The official tour program includes easy walks around the town, such as the 1.3-kilometre Kleiner-Kurparkring and the 3.2-kilometre Old Town Walk. The program is complemented by moderately difficult cycling tours from Bad Lausick to Colditz and to Nimbschen Abbey. The tourist information office in Bad Lausick provides hiking, cycling, and thematic maps. It also has an e-bike charging station with adjacent bicycle racks. The train journey from Leipzig or Chemnitz to Bad Lausick is described as taking around 35 minutes to the railway station; the subsequent walk to the information centre is stated to take approximately eight minutes.

The RIFF leisure pool features the 125-metre Crazy River tube slide, a large slide, and diving towers at heights of three and five metres. There is also a water playground for small children.

The Spa and Town Museum presents Bad Lausick's eventful history, particularly its development into a spa and bathing resort, in seven exhibition rooms. Special exhibitions on regional or historically relevant topics are held there regularly.
The Ballendorf post mill has a fully functioning milling system and can be opened to visitors by prior arrangement. The Ebersbach post mill was built in 1859 and can likewise be visited by prior arrangement.
