A 7.52 km circular hike begins and ends at Neumarkt in Thum. The route is estimated to take approximately 2 hours and 5 minutes; it leads to the town zoo, the cactus garden, the Georgfelsen, known as the Bastei, then onward to the Carving Museum in Jahnsbach, the Mining Discovery Trail and the narrow-gauge railway educational trail.
