The Altjeßnitz village church is a Romanesque church whose origins date back to the 12th century. It preserves original round-arched windows and contains a late Gothic carved altar. The Altjeßnitz village church can be visited as part of the Romanesque Road.

Hiking

The Philipp von Zesen Memorial Trail is part of the Muldeauweg, marked with a green stripe and approximately 5 kilometres long. It runs east of the Finkenberge hills. These form the western high bank of the glacial valley of the Mulde. The trail can be started at Marke railway station and ends at Raguhn railway station.

The Conradi Memorial Trail begins and ends at the town hall in Jeßnitz (Anhalt). It passes Hermann Conradi’s birthplace at Leopoldstraße 8 as well as the ruins of the Salegast monastery. At a leisurely walking pace, the trail takes approximately 1.5 hours.

Nature

The Salegast Forest is protected and offers a species-rich animal and plant world for observation.

Cycling

The Fuhne Cycle Path is approximately 70 kilometres long and connects Bernburg with Altjeßnitz on the Mulde in Anhalt-Bitterfeld. It runs predominantly along flat farm and service roads and is described as suitable for families.
