Nature and Landscape
The landscape around Staudt includes small volcanic cones and hills rising from a basin that is predominantly filled with soft Tertiary clay. Nearby is the Malberg: at 422 meters, this phonolite cone is the highest point in the Montabaur Basin and is characterized by natural forests, rocks, and fields of boulders.
Staudt is part of the Kannenbäckerland cultural landscape. Its clay pits are associated with the region’s “white gold.”
Exploring the Town
The Staudt Energy Trail is 8.7 kilometers long and has 19 marked stations with stamping tools for a map-based visitor activity. Quiz questions can be accessed via QR codes. Parking for the Energy Trail is available in the town center at Hauptstraße 21.
The Staudt skate park features a coping ramp, a curb, a small funbox, and a coping.
Leisure
Erbsengarten Activity Park is a nearly two-hectare park protected as a landscape conservation area, created from a former clay pit. The site includes open lawns, a cage soccer facility, picnic and barbecue areas, outdoor fitness equipment, a dirt bike course, and a bouldering tower.
The Renewable Energy Experience World is a visitor park in Staudt covering around 2,400 square meters. It features information boards, a water playground on the Aubach, additional play elements, and a quiet area. An information center is used for presentations and experiments.
Culture and History
The Old Church of Staudt was built as a chapel in 1865 and expanded in 1922/23. After the new church was completed, it was used for storage and placed under heritage protection at the end of the 1980s.

Staudt has two year-round motorhome parking spaces for vehicles up to 6.5 meters long. The parking spaces offer charging stations for e-bikes and cars.
In terms of transport links, Staudt is located near the A3 and B255 highways. Montabaur ICE station is approximately two kilometers away.
