Holler is located in Nassau Nature Park at around 300 metres above sea level. History

Holler was first mentioned in official records in 1228. From the late 17th century onwards, the village was the main settlement of the namesake administrative district. The parish church of St Margaret in Holler was built between 1756 and 1759.

Trails

The GelbACHTrail is certified as a Quality Trail Wanderable Germany and leads from Montabaur through the Gelbach Valley to Obernhof on the Lahn. The approximately 19-kilometre cycling route “Montabäurer Acht” passes through Holler.

Geographical Location

Holler is one of the villages in the Gelbach Heights area of the Gelbach Valley. The Gelbach Valley connects the southern Westerwald with the Lahn and the regions of Montabaur, Bad Ems-Nassau and Diez. Holler is located near Montabaur and has regional access to ICE connections as well as to the A3 motorway towards Cologne and Frankfurt.
