History

The former settlement of Felsalben is recorded as having been first mentioned as Felsalbia in 888. Walshausen acquired the Felsalben cadastral area in 1730. After disputes with neighboring municipalities had been settled, the Felsalben lands were finally distributed among citizens of Walshausen in 1735.

Bahnhofstraße 6 is classified as a broad-gabled hipped-roof building from the 19th century with an adjoining stable building. Mühlstraße 3 is classified as a former school: a neoclassical rendered building with a raised basement, built in 1840/41 and extended in 1900.

Activities

Saga Reitschule Felsalbtal offers qualified riding lessons on Icelandic horses. Riding is also available in Walshausen, with opportunities for rides through nature and riding facilities at local horse farms.

The Zweibrücker Land leisure and adventure route follows an almost level stretch from the Schwarzbach Valley through Zweibrücken and Hornbach.
