Culture and History
In Schindhard, a protected group of monuments comprises the Catholic Church of St. Anthony, four half-timbered houses and a wayside cross. The half-timbered buildings include examples dating from 1753, 1789 and 1810.

The Felsenland Sagenweg can be reached year-round by train to Hinterweidenthal or Bad Bergzabern and then by a local bus. From May to October, the excursion trains Bundenthaler and Felsenland-Express also run on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays.
Mountain bike trails are available around Schindhard. The municipal tourism information services list Tours 11 to 20 as easily accessible for visitors; Tour 13 is described as an 80 km route through the Dahner Felsenland, with Schindhard at its centre.
