Budenbach: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

Budenbach combines a rural Hunsrück setting with a remarkable testament to its Roman past. The Roman burial mound complex comprises four mounds visible along a stretch of approximately 170 meters. Excavation evidence and grave goods, including a coin from the time of Trajan and fine Roman pottery, date the burial to the first half of the 2nd century. Budenbach is also a stop on the 30-kilometer Römer–Ritter–Klosterfrauen cycling loop, which connects nearby villages with Simmern and includes the Roman burial mound complex. The route can be combined with the free augmented reality app ARGO.
