Oberheimbach: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Culture

The Heilig Kreuz Chapel has a Gothic or post-Gothic core. It acquired its present appearance in 1886 with a neo-Gothic roof turret.

The former Lamberger Hof was first mentioned in written sources in 1677. The former building is an elongated, plastered half-timbered structure with a hexagonal stair tower.

The Catholic parish church of St Margaret is an Early Gothic pillar basilica dating from the mid-13th century. Its interior features 19th-century floral and geometric ornamentation, a crucifix dating from around 1300, Gothic figures from the 15th century, a Gothic wooden altar and a Stumm organ from 1864.

Pilgrimage Routes

A 20-kilometre pilgrimage route connects Oberheimbach with Spabrücken. It leads to the Chapel of the Cross and the Drei Steine rest area. A pilgrimage tradition from Oberheimbach to Spabrücken has existed for 350 years.
