Wine and Landscape

Culture

The cemetery is home to the monument to the poet Isaak Maus, dating from 1896, a richly sculpted sandstone stele topped with a statue of an eagle.

Today’s Protestant church in Badenheim was built between 1827 and 1829 as a classicist hall church, based on designs by Mainz city architect Augustin Wetter. It preserves an 18th-century organ case from its predecessor church and is described as a typical monumentalized classicist village church of Rheinhessen.

Badenheim’s Catholic church was built between 1772 and 1775. The former Schönborn official wine cellar at Hauptstraße 1 is an L-shaped complex dating from 1783.
