Lünebach is located in the Prümtal valley in the northern Southern Eifel. The Prümtal Cycle Route between Prüm and Waxweiler runs through the village. St. Gertrud received a transept-like extension around 1965.

Trails

The Islek Pfädchen trail is described as easy to walk, partly asphalted, and suitable for an all-terrain stroller. A cycle route connection leads from Lünebach towards Arzfeld. From Arzfeld, the Enztal Cycle Route provides a connection towards Neuerburg.

Animal Experiences

The Eifel Zoo covers 30 hectares and is home to around 400 animals from approximately 60 exotic and native species. The hand-feeding of deer and bison is highlighted there. The zoo also includes a miniature Eifel village with more than 30 buildings. The Eifel Zoo in Lünebach is associated with family-oriented wildlife and zoo outings in the Eifel.
