Leisel: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Cycling

The National Park Cycling Route 6 runs predominantly over rough gravel and includes steep climbs and descents as well as a short asphalt section. Jagdhaus Leisel offers a viewpoint along the route for a short break. The route to the Erbeskopf National Park Gate follows a forest path through the Idarwald Forestry Office area.

Where routes overlap, the National Park Cycling Routes are marked with signs and numbers to aid orientation. Bicycles suitable for off-road terrain or mountain bikes are recommended for the National Park Cycling Routes. There is a bistro at the Erbeskopf National Park Gate.

Hiking and Nature

Four circular hiking trails around Leisel are presented as hiking options on the sunny side of Hunsrück-Hochwald National Park.

Culture and History

The 2.5-kilometre-long Götterallee/Sirona Trail between Leisel and Schwollen features sculptures of Roman deities and runs directly along the RadLust HimmelReich Loop. This loop leads across fields and through the forest via Oberbrombach to Leisel; the Kipp burial mound and the Heiligenbösch Church are also located directly along it.

The Heiligenbösch Church stands on the ruins of an ancient villa complex. The preserved walls and room sequences belong to the bathing wing of the villa.
