Weyerbusch: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Nature
The W1 hiking trail runs as a circular route around the built-up area of Weyerbusch. The W2 hiking trail leaves the village in a north-easterly direction and leads across meadows and forest paths to Rimbach. The two circular routes are approximately 5 kilometres and 7.5 kilometres long respectively and together have more than 20 benches for rest breaks.
Another route is the W4, an accessible cycling and hiking trail. It explains the history of the mills and the ecology of the upper Mehrbach Valley. The route is intended for hikers, cyclists, e-bike riders, users of robust electric wheelchairs and visitors with visual impairments. There are 19 information boards along the W4; QR codes contain information, images and audio files.
The starting point of the W4 in Weyerbusch is located directly on the B8. Shortly after the route passes the old town hall, it offers a view of the Oberwesterwald. The trail also passes the Raiffeisen monument in Weyerbusch.
Culture
The Raiffeisen Meeting Centre comprises the historic mayor's house, a bakehouse and a seminar building. By prior appointment, groups can visit the centre and attend a film screening.
The Village and School Museum presents working methods and materials from a time strongly shaped by agriculture. A photographic documentation shows how Weyerbusch has changed, including as a result of the Second World War.
History
The former Raiffeisen House served Friedrich Wilhelm Raiffeisen as a residence and council chamber from 1845 to 1948. Local tradition also includes a bakehouse that was built for communal bread baking in connection with the Weyerbusch Brodverein. The Weyerbusch Brodverein was founded by F. W. Raiffeisen together with several wealthy residents.
Getting There
Weyerbusch can be reached by regional train RB 90 to Altenkirchen and then by bus route 250 to the Weyerbusch Sonnenhof stop.
