The two hiking options described therefore differ both in length and in the character of the route. From March to October, the Bergisch Hiking Bus runs between Odenthal and Wermelskirchen. On the Eifgenbach Trail, it allows you to use the bus for either the outward or return journey.
A cycling tour and possible detours
The surrounding area can also be explored by bicycle: a 16-kilometre cycling tour leads to the picturesque Sengbach Reservoir and returns to the centre of Wermelskirchen via the disused Balkantrasse railway line. Detours to Schloss Burg and the Müngsten Bridge are possible.
