Am Salzhaff is a municipality in the western district of Rostock in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. It is located inland from the shallow southeastern shore of the Salzhaff. The Salzhaff is an enclosed coastal body of water with brackish water and a bay of the Baltic Sea; the Wustrow Peninsula separates it from the open sea and the Baltic Sea.
Am Salzhaff is located approximately 22 kilometres from the Hanseatic city of Wismar.
