Jan-Reiners Eck, on Bremer Landstraße at the corner of Bauernreihe, commemorates the “Jan-Reiners” narrow-gauge railway. The railway line between Bremen and Tarmstedt operated from 1900 to 1956. Another historic landmark is St. Peter’s Church, a brick building dating from 1722. The Spieker, the railway memorial and the church thus represent different aspects of Tarmstedt’s local history.
