Culture and History
The Försterberg Tower dates from the second half of the 13th century. It served as a watchtower for the vulnerable northeastern section of Stadtoldendorf’s fortifications. Around 800 metres of the original historic town wall have been preserved in the old town; it was interrupted by the Hagentor, Burgtor and Teichtor gates.
The Church of St. Dionys, Kilian and Sebastian was consecrated in 1800 and extended by a choir in 1869. As St. Dionys Church, it is located on the Loccum–Volkenroda Pilgrimage Route and offers a place to pause and refresh.

Hiking and Surroundings
The Homburg castle ruins are located between Stadtoldendorf and Eschershausen. They preserve the remains of a gate staircase, a deep well, a vault, walls and a keep. They are a tourist attraction in the Solling; their renovated viewing platform offers a broad view over the Solling.

Getting Around
Stadtoldendorf is located on the Paderborn–Kreiensen railway line. A stage from Stadtoldendorf–Dassel is part of the EuroVelo Route R1.
