Lage: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

The historic village centre of Lage is centred around the old watermill. Lage Watermill was built around 1270 as a grain and oil mill and stands on the former course of the Dinkel River. On selected days, it can be demonstrated in operation.

Culture

The Protestant Reformed Church of Lage was built between 1687 and 1688. It is a brick-built hall church with sandstone surrounds on the doors and windows.

The manor house in Lage dates from 1686 and has Dutch architectural characteristics. It is not open to the public.

Lage’s former castle was an important bastion until the Dutch Revolt. After the count’s withdrawal, it was demolished by Dutch troops.

Landscape

Lager Busch is a woodland and meadow landscape on the edge of the Dinkel River. The oak avenue includes six leaseholder cottages dating from 1780.

Anyone wishing to rent a holiday apartment can include Engden, Uelsen, Itterbeck, Bad Bentheim and Neuenhaus alongside Lage when selecting additional destinations.
