More than 6,500 roses grow in the rosarium of Hattersheim Am Main. One of its distinctive features is a rose pyramid covered in climbing roses. The Old Spa Park in Bad Soden Am Taunus offers a different atmosphere: dating from 1823, it combines the English garden style with ancient trees. In Kriftel, the Bonifatius Chapel is located on the approximately 180-kilometre Bonifatius Route from Mainz to Fulda. Its approximate total length makes the route a long-distance connection; it is a different point of reference for trip planning than walks or bike rides in the regional park. The Hundertwasser House in Bad Soden stands out for its colourful façade and a tower approximately 30 metres high. Eppstein Castle holds more than a thousand years of history. Its walls and grounds, as well as the castle museum, show how people in the region lived and defended themselves.
