Families travelling with children will find a shared theme to explore here: bees and their surroundings can be experienced along the way, together with the play stations, without limiting the visit to a single location.
Visitors can learn more about bees, honey, bee products and the work of beekeepers on guided tours of the Seeg Beekeeping Experience Centre. The tours include the adjacent bee house, where visitors can watch bees at work. At the centre, they can also see beekeepers at work and extract honey themselves. The Bee Shop offers honey, propolis, royal jelly, bee venom and beeswax to sample and buy. The bee theme thus extends from the trail through town to insights into beekeeping and a range of bee products.
Rococo and Local History
St. Ulrich’s is one of Bavaria’s most important Rococo churches and adds a distinctive cultural note to Seeg. The local history museum is devoted to the town’s history. Its topics include crafts that have died out, the development of the dairy industry and beekeeping in the days of our grandparents. There are various ways to go cycling in and around Seeg: the region offers e-biking, mountain biking, road cycling and longer-distance cycle touring.
