Culture

Affing Castle originated from an early moated castle and was the seat of a Bavarian Hofmark, meaning a feudal administrative district.

Today's Affing Castle was built in 1682 after the former castle had been destroyed, and was rebuilt following a fire in 1927.

The castle grounds include landscaped grounds with a stream, pond, bridges and boathouse, as well as an orangery dating from 1830, a grotto and a pavilion overlooking the large lawn.
