Blacé stretches between vineyards and wooded hills – from the Plateau de Blaceret at 215 metres to the Col du Failly at 673 metres. There are also five signposted hiking trails starting at the village hall, with lengths of 5, 10, 16, 20 and 25 kilometres. Blacé’s hiking trails are accessible to hikers all year round.

Nature
The wider region around Blacé also features notable landscape landmarks: Citadelle, Montagne de Rochefort and Grenet are each classified as mountains. Grand Crêt, also a mountain, is located nearby.
Another activity is offered by Au Fil des Arbres in a forest of forty-year-old Douglas firs at an altitude of 600 metres. There are eight adventure courses there for all age groups from three years old.
Culture and History
The Château de Pravins and its park are open to the public all year round by prior appointment. The oldest known date associated with the Château de Pravins is 1251. The church of Blacé was built in 1838 according to plans by the architect Louis-Gaspard Dupasquier.
The Musée Claude Bernard is located in the immediate vicinity of Blacé. The surrounding area also lists the Artothèque du Centre d'Arts Plastiques de Villefranche-sur-Saône as a closed museum, Château du sou as a historic site and the Abbatiale de l'Assomption de Belleville as a historic site.
On the Grand circuit de Blacé, La Bessée is considered a 13th-century house. Marguerite de Bagé bought it in 1251 for the benefit of the Polleteins monastery she had founded.
Wine
Winegrowing in Blacé produces red wines from the Beaujolais and Beaujolais Villages appellations, as well as white and rosé Beaujolais. In addition to red Beaujolais and Beaujolais Villages, some winemakers in Blacé also offer crus, white and rosé Beaujolais, Beaujolais Pétillant and Crémant.
