Grézieu-le-Marché lies on the watershed at the western end of the Monts du Lyonnais. The commune is bordered to the south by the Gimond Valley and to the north by the Brévenne Valley. The landscape is hilly, with meadows predominating; the commune also contains numerous maize and cereal fields.

Located along a marked hiking trail, the Table d'orientation de Champesan offers unobstructed views of the landscapes of the Monts du Lyonnais.
Culture
The Église St Barthélémy in Grézieu-le-Marché was completed in 1886. It was designed in the Romanesque-Byzantine style by Sainte-Marie-Perrin together with Bossan. Its bell tower houses a complete carillon with eight bells.
Trails and activities
The Barrage de la Gimond is suitable for family walks. The hiking route “Le barrage de la Gimond” starts at the car park by the town hall in the village centre. It is marked in yellow and forms part of the “Sentiers du Rhône” and “GR® de Pays Monts et Coteaux du Lyonnais” networks. Suitable for hiking in all seasons, it is aimed at hiking and trail-running enthusiasts.

Agriculture and direct sales
Les Jardins du Pré sells seasonal vegetables, eggs, preserved vegetables and jams from organic farming. Some farms in Grézieu-le-Marché welcome visitors for farm tours by prior reservation; by prior reservation, they also sell agricultural products to visitors. Grézieu-le-Marché's peri-urban location enables the development of direct sales and farm-based processing of cheese, fruit and vegetables.
