Servoz has preserved the authentic character of its historic hamlets. These include Vieux Servoz, Le Mont and Le Bouchet. Servoz offers sporting or leisurely opportunities for hiking and mountain biking.
The Servoz basin lies in an open landscape with plenty of sunshine. The Chaîne des Fiz rises behind it, while views extend towards the Mont-Blanc massif and, in the distance, the Chaîne des Aravis and Pointe Percée.

Nature
The Gorges de la Diosaz can be visited via a shaded path along the rock faces and across sturdy footbridges over the mountain stream. On a walk through the gorge, you can discover the five waterfalls of the Diosaz and reach the heart of the canyon.
Lac Vert is a glacial lake located at an altitude of 1,270 metres. Its emerald-green water is caused by microscopic algae and the reflection of the surrounding forest.
A forest path leads from the hamlet of La Côte in the heights above Servoz to Lac Vert.
Culture and history
Servoz church became the parish church of Servoz and six neighbouring hamlets in 1537. It is under the patronage of Saint-Loup.
The Maison du Lieutenant is the oldest house in the Chamonix-Mont-Blanc valley. It is also an interpretation centre for mountain farming, its environment, its products and its know-how.
The permanent exhibition “L’agriculture de montagne, Coeur du territoire” can be seen at the Maison du Lieutenant.
The Maison de l’Alpage is an information centre about mountain pastures and agropastoralism. It presents the permanent exhibition “Agriculture et paysages, les grandes mutations”.
Geographical location
The SNCF railway line serves the village of Servoz from Saint-Gervais-les-Bains–Le Fayet; TER and TGV connections are available.
