The Chapelle de la Pierre was formerly a building that housed both a chapel and a school; it was built between 1856 and 1860.
The Route des chapelles circular trail passes through the hamlets of Sallanches and leads to ten small typical chapels, considered testimonies to the local religious heritage.
Hiking and Nature
The promenade to the Chapelle de l'Immaculée Conception is an easy circular hike lasting 35 minutes and covering 1.3 kilometres. It reaches a viewpoint overlooking Sallanches, with Mont Blanc in the background.
The Centre de la Nature Montagnarde offers free nature excursions and children's workshops. The Arête des Saix loop connects the mountain pastures of Mayères and Doran and leads to two mountain pastures and three refuges.

The Bois de Fessy is a forest walk accessible to everyone, showcasing a great variety of coniferous and deciduous trees. The path through the Bois de Fessy leads to the hamlet of Le Psot, from where there is a view of the Mont Blanc massif.
Mountain Pasture Life
At the Doran mountain pasture, traditional agro-pastoral and cheese-making activities take place from June to September. Visitors can buy fresh cheese there.
