Évian-Les-Bains: Holiday apartments and holiday homes
At the western entrance to Évian-les-Bains, on the shores of Lake Geneva, lie the water gardens of Pré Curieux. An exhibition and a park trail showcase water-related ecosystems, including ponds, streams, marshes, wet meadows and a delta.

The Palais Lumière is housed in a former thermal establishment and now serves as a cultural and congress centre. It is listed as a historic monument and houses a media library, exhibition halls and a congress centre. The Maison Gribaldi dates from the Renaissance and preserves mullioned windows with curved lintels, a wooden gallery faithfully reconstructed during the 2013 restoration and extension, and a stone spiral staircase.
Connections
The Évian funicular connects the lakeside quays with the tourist facilities – including the harbour, thermal spa and casino – as well as the large Splendide, Royal and Ermitage hotels, passing by the Buvette Cachat along the way. It is a rare example of Europe's railway heritage and is one of only three surviving classified funicular railways from the 19th and 20th centuries.
Water
The Évian water sports centre makes it possible to discover Lake Geneva through stand-up paddleboarding, kayaking, diving, sailing and freediving, practised independently or with supervision.
Thermal history
The Cachat spring, formerly known as Fontaine Sainte Catherine, was built in 1903 and flows year-round at a constant temperature of 11.6 °C. It is regarded as the mineral water spring behind Évian's international renown.
Les Thermes evian use the recognised natural and therapeutic properties of natural evian mineral water for specific treatments as part of thermal cures.
