Nature
Lac du Môle is an artificial lake in a marshy area, situated partly in La Tour and partly in Ville-en-Sallaz. It is home to a remarkable variety of fauna and flora, including plants endemic to this mountain region.
The plan d’eau de l’Oasis in Les Etayers is a place for walks and a starting point for further hikes. The Tour du lac du Môle route is an easy 2.6-kilometre circular trail that takes around 25 minutes. The route has free parking, a picnic area and public toilets.
Lac du Môle is also a second-category fishing lake with enclosed water, where black bass, carp, tench and roach can be caught.
By contrast, the difficult Le Môle depuis La Tour hiking trail is a 6-kilometre out-and-back route with a walking time of around 6 hours and 35 minutes, as well as 1,213 metres of ascent and descent respectively. The hike leads to the 1,863-metre summit of Le Môle and offers a 360-degree panorama of the Mont-Blanc massif, the Aravis and Lake Geneva.

Culture and History
The Chapelle du Calvaire was built in the Neo-Gothic style and inaugurated on 15 September 1889. Visitors reach the chapel via a path and Stations of the Cross; from there, they can enjoy a view of Lac du Môle and the Giffre mountains. The historical account of the Chapelle du Calvaire also reports a pilgrimage that takes place at the chapel annually on the third Sunday in September.
The Église Saint-Pierre was rebuilt in the mid-19th century according to the principles of Sardinian Neoclassicism by an engineer as well as artists and craftsmen from Turin. The ruins of the Château de Thy stand on a motte. As a medieval fortification, they retain historical and architectural significance.
Geographical Setting
La Tour is crossed by the busy D907 departmental road between Viuz-en-Sallaz and Saint-Jeoire-en-Faucigny.
