Nature and Trails
In Rumilly, the Base de loisirs du plan d’eau has fishing piers and fishing areas for predatory fish such as trout, perch and pike, as well as areas for carp fishing. It is also recognised as an LPO protected area and has measures in place to protect its fauna and flora.
An easily accessible path leads to the summit of Bois de la Salle, where there are benches and a beautiful panoramic view. Bois de la Salle has several paths, and a sign at the entrance indicates the walking times for three circular routes.
The Sentier pédagogique du Cincle is a 1.5-hour nature trail in Rumilly that passes through various natural environments while also conveying the history of the area.

Culture and History
La Grenette is regarded as a symbol of the agricultural wealth of the Albanais, which is known as the “granary of Savoy”.
The “Notre Histoire” museum in Rumilly presents paintings, engravings, sculptures, and craft and industrial objects to explain Rumilly and its development, and hosts temporary exhibitions. It was open year-round.
Geographical Location
The Château de Montrottier and Château d'Annecy are located near Rumilly; both are castles. Also nearby are Montagne du Gros Foug, Montagne de Cessens, Montagne des Princes and Mont de Corsuet, each of which is a mountain. The historic site of Abbaye de Sainte-Catherine du Mont de Semnoz is also located near Rumilly. Château de Novel, a castle, is located in the wider regional area around Rumilly.
