Les Houches: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes
On the southern slope of Les Houches lies Parc de Merlet at an altitude of 1,500 metres. Parc de Merlet is a former alpine pasture and is now a 21-hectare park where numerous animal species live in semi-freedom.

Culture
The Musée Montagnard is housed in a historic building in the centre of the village of Les Houches. It presents a collection of ethnographic objects that were formerly used in the Chamonix Valley. During the school holidays, the museum offers guided tours, workshops and activities for children and adults.
The footpath along the church in Les Houches is named „Passage Chagall“ in honour of the artist and serves as an exhibition venue. The Church of Saint John the Baptist in Les Houches was consecrated in 1766; its façade displays the typical features of the Baroque style.
Activities
The Les Houches / Saint-Gervais ski area extends between 1,000 and 1,900 metres in altitude. Activities available there include alpine skiing, cross-country skiing, snowboarding, telemark skiing and ski jumping.
For routes through the village, there is „Le chemin des villages“, a footpath and cycle path through the village of Les Houches that avoids the need to use the main road. The Les Houches – Les Chavants orienteering course is 2 kilometres long and marked with 18 control points.
The Base de Loisirs des Chavants at Lac des Chavants in Les Houches offers opportunities for walks. The facility also includes a climbing area, children's play areas and water play areas.

At the Les Houches tourist office, a Compagnie du Mont Blanc ticket counter sells summer and winter season passes as well as return tickets for Bellevue and Prarion. A Chamonix Mobilité counter sells bus tickets and subscriptions.
