Saint-Désirat combines orchards on the fertile plain with terraced vineyards. From Châtelet Hill, panoramic views extend over the Rhône Gorge, the footbridge at Andance and as far as Mont Blanc.
Nature and landscape
The discovery trail through the Rochevine wine-growing area is 3 km long. Ten fun and educational stations, along with an accompanying booklet, provide an insight into the history of the winery and viticulture. At the same time, the discovery trail is a place to observe the local flora and fauna.
Activities
Saint-Désirat is located on the ViaFluvia cycle route. Le tour de Chatelet is a 6 km cultural trail with an elevation gain of 250 m and starts at the Place du marché.
The Rochevine hike leads through terraced vineyards overlooking the Rhône. It passes the Galerie de Rochevine, a former railway tunnel.

Culture and history
The Musée de l’Alambic offers exhibitions covering 1,400 m² on the tools and traditions of distillers from times gone by. Around fifty stills are on display in the museum. Visitors can round off their visit to the Musée de l’Alambic with a tasting of the distillery’s creations.
A large temple dedicated to Apollo Augustus once stood on Châtelet Hill. Excavations at the temple revealed its architectural richness.
Wine and aromas
The Cave de Saint-Désirat offers a guided tour that can be experienced in 3D. This is complemented by a sensory trail with scent and touch stations as an introduction to wine tasting.
La Maison des arômes uses nine aroma families to present wine aromas visually, through smell and in an accessible way. It offers a scent trail, a touch trail and a discovery trail.
